I’m Going To Malawi!!

I’ve always had this desire inside of me, a desire to do something meaningful, to go so far outside my comfort zone I can’t even see it, to grow as an individual, to make a difference, to live my ultimate purpose and spread the word of God. It is no surprise that God, in His perfect timing, has molded my life and presented me with the opportunity I’ve been dreaming of.
In April I will be going on a mission trip to Malawi, Africa to serve the Lord on behalf of the WELS Kingdom Workers ministry. This is something that has been on my heart for years and it wasn’t until last year that I finally said, enough with the dreaming, let’s do this! I picked up the phone and began the process. The beautiful timing of it was all God. The mission opportunities aren’t announcement very far in advance and I didn’t think it could possibly work out with my wedding schedule. Low and behold, in November I saw the email that announced a mission opportunity in April. I cried. Seriously cried. Not crazy sobbing tears but tiny tears of joy. I couldn’t believe the opportunity I had been waiting for was right in front of me.

Although I’ve been thinking about a mission trip for years, it’s clear to me now why it is just happening now. With Alex being gone this year, I can’t think of a better time for me to go!

We will engage in reaching out to people with cognitive and physical disabilities as well as participating in Vacation Bible School programs. I also have the opportunity to use my gift of photography to document the ministry in Malawi. I am staying an extra week that will be dedicated solely to photographing so I can be 100% present the rest of the time. You can read more about Kingdom Workers work in Malawi by visiting HERE.
I am a little bit nervous, it will definitely be a learning experience, but above all I am excited for this opportunity to serve God, the long term missionaries living there and the people of Malawi! Please keep me in your prayers!

If you would like to support me in my mission with Kingdom Workers, please consider a small donation to help me raise the funds for the trip! Click Here to contribute.

Just curious if there's any significance in the $108.90 donation amount? I'm so excited for you & I'm praying for you

I'm so glad you asked! I wondered the same thing when I saw those donations coming in at that specific amount. When you select to donate it asks if you'd like to cover the transaction fee and that's where the random $8.90 comes from!
