Who needs a studio anyways

My trips back to Minnesota seem to coincide perfectly with the mile markers of the Lyngholm kids. I was there late last January for Christian’s 2 year photos. I was back again in June to welcome Elyse into the world and 6 months later I was back in Minnesota to see how much she’d grown! I will also conveniently be in town when she turns 1, it’s just meant to be!

What I love most about photographing for the Lyngholm’s, is that we always take the photos at their home. Yes, a studio is nice and the lighting is easier, but there is something very special about photographing in a home. They are being photographed in their own environment with chairs, blankets and baskets that are their own. This was my 5th time photographing at their house and it’s been really fun to think of new ways to take the kid’s pictures, so that each time it’s a little bit different. It doesn’t hurt either that Elyse and Christian are absolutely adorable. I could put them in a trash can (I won’t) and they’d still be great pictures! Here are Elyse’s 6 month photos…

Thanks Dianna and Derick for your continued support and letting me photograph your family!

^ Mom says this is Elyse’s signature face. I think it’s pretty cute.
